Girls Travel Full Season
Allston Brighton Youth Hockey Girls Full Season Travel Program includes U10, U12 and U14. All teams participate in the Middlesex Yankee Conference Girls Hockey League.
Ages
Girls U10: 2015/16 Birthyears
Girls U12: 2013/14 Birthyears
Girls U14: 2011/12 Birthyears
When
The season begins in early Sept and runs through the end of March or early April.
Where
Practices/skills are held at Warrior Ice Arena, Reilly, Harvard or Walter Brown (BU) depending on age group and ice availability.
Games for most teams are within 30-45 minutes of Brighton.
Practices
Teams will have a minimum of one team practice and one skills session per week, typically on a weeknight. Additional practices may be scheduled depending on ice availability.
Games
Most games are on Saturdays or Sundays. Players can expect 1-2 games per weekend (usually 1).
UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT
Uniforms and gear can be ordered through ABYH's team store through Play It Again Sports. Notification of the store opening and ordering deadlines will be sent by early to mid-May. Players new to ABYH or playing their first year on a Travel team must have their number approved prior to ordering their jersey.
ABYH does not supply personal player equipment such as helmets, sticks, pads, skates, etc.
Tournaments
ABYH participates in the annual Mayor's Cup Tournament hosted by the City of Boston between mid-December and early January. Tournament fees are included in tuition.
ABYH teams may also participate in one away (drivable) tournament at the coach's and program's discretion. Tournament fees are included in tuition. Travel fees, if any, must be covered by the player.
Tuition
ABYH is committed to keeping tuition costs low and does significant fundraising through Allston and Brighton businesses, organizations and institutions. Tryout fees are applied to the fees below. As such, we have two tuition tiers:
Allston or Brighton Resident -- $1100 + equipment fee*
Non-Resident -- $1400 + equipment fee*
Goalies -- Full-time goalies receive a 50% tuition discount when accepting an offer.
*A $45 program equipment fee is added to all tuitions and will appear as part of the downpayment when accepting an offer.

TRYOUT REGISTRATION
Please register here for tryouts for this upcoming 2025-26 season for Girls U10 (2016 & 2015), Girls U12 (2014 & 2013) & Girls U14 (2012 & 2011). The tryout fee is $100. The tryout fee will be applied to tuition for players who receive and accept an offer and register to play with ABYH.
REFUNDS
Tryout Refunds: Prospective players that attend tryouts and do not accept an offer will be refunded 50% ($50) of the tryout registration fee if they notify ABYH by email within 10 days of the offer (if applicable) that they won't be accepting a spot for the 2025-26 season. Prospective players that attend tryouts and are not offered a spot will be refunded 50% ($50) of the tryout registration fee.
Registration Refunds: ABYH does not offer refunds after offers have been accepted. Please refer to the Commitment and Financial Agreement as part of your registration for more information.
* Girls are encouraged and welcome to tryout for any of our coed teams in addition to our girls teams but must register for both. If they receive an offer and register for both they will receive a discount on one of the tuitions. Tryout policies would be applied to both tuitions.
